REVIEW: Griffen Palmer’s Ready to Serve “25 To Life” With New Single

The SiriusXM The Highway “Highway Find” & Big Loud rising artist, Griffen Palmer recently released his single, “25 To Life”. Produced by Joey Moi and written by Grammy-nominated songwriter Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, Jake Owen, Virginia To Vegas) & Griffen himself, the heartfelt song tells the story of a lovestruck protagonist that’s ready to spend the rest of their days with the one they love.

As Griffen shares in a press release,

“I’ve been waiting to share this song for a long time,” He continues, “Since we first wrote it, ’25 to Life’ has felt like an anchor point as we worked on the album that I’m really excited to share with you soon. I can’t wait to hear what you think.” (Palmer, PR team).

What makes this pop-infused-country love song stand out is the clever lyrical wordplay on a life sentence, but the only crime here is falling in love. As he sings,

“Cause if loving you’s a crime

give me 25 to life with you” (Palmer)

It’s a creative & fresh take on an age-old concept, and one you don’t typical see within the genre.

Instrumentally, the prominent presence of the pedal steel really ties it all together and sets the tone. Overall, it’s a fun, sweet & simple song that gets catchier with each listen.

Griffen is also set to release his debut album, “Unlearn” on April 28th, which is available for pre-save HERE. In the meantime, fans can enjoy listening to the title track & final single off of the album on all streaming platforms now.
